Mr. Steve Cromity, Sr. retired from The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey in 2005, as Manager of Contract Compliance, after more than 25 years of service.  Prior to his career with the Port Authority, Mr. Cromity worked for Merrill Lynch as a Stockbroker, at Youth Services Agency of New York City developing programs for at-risk youth, at Chase Manhattan Bank under the Management Training Program, and the NYC Department of Health assessing patients’ home living conditions.  Mr. Cromity holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fordham University and a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences from NYU.  He is a member of One Hundred Black Men - NYC, Board Member of Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium and is a Deacon at his church.  Mr. Cromity is currently pursuing a second career as a jazz singer.  He joined the Board in 2017 and was elected Treasurer in 2019, a position he held until 2021.
